Other than the above Open House dates, the nursery is not open to the public.
You’re invited to come and visit our nursery! We’ve greatly expanded our Open Days for everyone’s convenience. You are welcome to place an advance order for pickup, but you are equally welcome to come even if you have not ordered plants in advance. Please feel free to browse and shop.
On Shopping Days listed above we will be carrying out all of our normal nursery duties including potting and shipping. We will make available a current plant availability list, and Fairweather Gardens staff will be on hand for consultation.
At Open Houses, we suspend our regular duties, and we invite staff from local botanical gardens to lend a hand. It gives us a chance to chat in person, and you have the opportunity to consult with some of our area’s leading plant experts.
We’re accepting Advance Orders with a minimum of $50 for pickup at any of our March and April Open Houses or Shopping Days. Just let us know which one, and we’ll have your plants ready. We’ll need your order at least 10 days in advance of your pickup. If you haven’t decided on a date at the time you place your advance order, just check “Other Pickup Date,” and phone us Monday of the week you’ll be stopping by to inform us of your pickup date. As in previous years, there are no plant reservations for Open Houses in May or June. First come, first served!
Of course you’re welcome to attend our Shopping Days and Open Houses and purchase plants without any advance order! Just come as you are—we’re looking forward to meeting you! There is also no minimum order when shopping on our Open Days.
Please request our area map well in advance, as our nursery is difficult to find. We regret we cannot answer the phone during Open House or the day before an Open House. We’re located in southern New Jersey, only 35 minutes from either Exit 1 or 2 of the New Jersey Turnpike. Driving time is 1 hour from Center City Philadelphia, and 2 hours from metro New York or metro Baltimore. On our Open House days, local maps listing our nursery are available at the Greenwich Post Office in the center of the village of Greenwich, but on Saturdays the Post Office is open only till noon. |
