Fothergilla 'Mt. Airy' - Fothergilla

A more vigorous constitution, an upright habit to 3-5 feet, abundant flowers, and superb fall color are characteristic of this selection made by Michael Dirr from a plant growing in Cincinnati. Dr. Dirr believes it may be a hybrid between F. gardenii and F. major and reports that it has flowered even after -25°F. Georgia Gold Medal. Z. 4-8
