Helenium 'Kanaria' - Helenium
Helenium is the perfect perennial to place by patio or pool as it blooms nonstop from late June or early July till Labor Day, just when we need it. Sometimes called Sneezeweed, Helenium does not cause sneezing. Native to moist meadows, Helenium seems to attract bees when in bloom. Bright canary-yellow flowers are borne atop 3-foot stalks. This selection is prized as a cut flower. Z. 3-8

It's always party time when this Helenium is in bloom! Yellow petals are lavishly splashed with burnt orange and red and will add pep to your garden. Grows about 3 feet high. Helenium 'Sahin's Early Flowerer' - Helenium
A prolific bloomer even by the standards of this floriferous genus, this new selection blooms for us from early June to late fall with red flowers surrounding a prominent brown cone. The red petals are often streaked with yellow and orange, and the effect is a striking technicolor tableau. 'Sahin's Early Flowerer' grows 2-3 feet high. A must-have among Heleniums! Z. 3-8
Helenium flexuosum 'Tiny Dancer' - Helenium
A native of the Eastern Seaboard, this Helenium has grayish green leaves and grows branched somewhat like a candelabra. Bright yellow, reflexed flowers with brown centers dance about the tips of the candelabra over many weeks in summer. This new Mt. Cuba selection remains compact and bushy, reaching only 18-24 inches. A sunny, moist location will suit it just fine. Z. 4-10
